Encounters on Tuesday!!

FORGE will be running Season 3 of Encounters: Keep on the Borderlands starting this coming Tuesday (November 2nd). Jerry has graciously volunteered to run the games. They will be held starting at 5pm, which is 1 hour before our normal Tuesday game day.

Seating will be first come first serve. If interest grows we'll see about adding more tables. We're gonna start this season of Keep on the Borderlands at session 1 and we'll play catch-up for the first few sessions until we are caught up.

After the Encounter session stay and play some Living Forgotten Realms or some of the other games we have going starting at 6pm Tuesday. Sign-up for these games on the Games Section of this website!

What is Encounters?
D&D Encounters is an exciting, weekly campaign that plays out one epic encounter at a time. As you defeat enemies, solve puzzles, finish quests, and perform heroc deeds, you'll earn Renown Points that you can use to get exclusive rewards. Each session only takes about 1 hour to play, so it's easy to fit your ggame in after school or work. And each week there's a new and exciting challenge. Jump in anytime!

See you Tuesday!

Gamma World Game Day

Originally scheduled for October 23rd, our local game store Gamerz Depot will be holding the Gamma World Game Day on Sunday October 24th from noon to 6pm.

What is Gamma World you ask? Originally TSR published Gamma World in 1978. Gamma World is set in the mid-25th century, more than 100 years past the world's 2nd nuclear war. Everywhere you look there are mutants roaming around trying to gank your stuff.

Read more about Gamma World history here...

Now, the game has been republished by Wizards of the Coast and is using the latest 4th edition D&D rule set.

I know its short notice but come out and play a round with us this Sunday!

Wizards on YouTube

So over on this little thing called YouTube you can watch videos. They have videos for everything and anything you can imagine. They even have videos on silly things like guys dancing to history of music, babies biting each other, and crappy videos from the flavor-of-the-week fly-by-night teeny bopper.

And yes friends our buddy YouTube even has videos all about about gaming from Wizards of the Coast.

Be sure to check the past history there is a lot of good stuff in there.

Have fun.

Mini Counters

How cool are these things!! I think I might have to pick up a set or two.
Track your enemies and monsters with ease. Mini Counters are probably the most useful of the gaming accessories that we have. They easily stick to your miniatures, and are small enough to be out of the way, yet large enough to handle easily. No more, “Wait, is that the guy that’s taken 26 damage, or the guy that’s stunned?”

Pathfinder Society Regional Coordinators

Paizo Publishing announced today that 13 Regional Coordinators from around the globe have been brought on board to help coordinate Pathfinder Society events. Regional Coordinators, known as Venture-Captains, will oversee specific locations and serve as local organizers and points of contact for members of the Pathfinder Society, the organized play arm for the award-winning Pathfinder Roleplaying Game.

GameCon 2010

As another successful year at GameCon comes to a close I wanted to thank all the DMs. We had 3 to 4 full tables in every slot this year and everyone had a great time.

For me what I remember most about the games this year is being DAZED. Its clear our characters need to find new an inventive ways to get out of status effect hell.

There is a new photo gallery up with pictures from this years happenings.

Next convention in the area is Brewfest next weekend in Cape Girardeau, MO. FORGE members will mostly be in attendance as players at this con. Check the message for others going.

And of course we have our regular gaming continuing this Tuesday at Gamerz Depot. See the Games section for sign-up.

See you next time!

Upcoming Events!

FORGE has regularly scheduled games the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month at Mid-South Hobbies & Games. See the games section for more information.
